Advantages for You: The cost of any managed server is almost always offset by the savings made on operational costs. For instance, for a managed Firewall server, savings made in the reduction of unauthorised internet browsing by staff can be easily covered by the reduction of time wasted by employees online. Current estimates are that some 80% of Internet use by companies is not work related. Are you paying your staff to surf the internet? If every employee with internet access spent two hours of your time per day surfing, how much would that cost you? (Assuming staff earning an average of £16,000 per year, with four weeks holiday, you are losing approx. £4000 per staff member per annum !)
